Alex Zhang Hungtai 為Dirty Beaches樂團主要成員，現以現場實驗即興演出為主，台灣出生，現居上海及美國兩地。退休於Dirty Beaches後，Zhang持續專注於即興音樂、自由爵士樂的探索，以及他作為作曲家的新角色。他的新作品主要為薩克斯風，合成器，打擊樂器和鋼琴，進一步推動了他對限制性儀式音樂的研究。除了他的個人作品外，他還是葡萄牙極簡主義/建築師David Maranha以及里斯本的Free Jazz Drummer Gabriel Ferrandini的自由爵士/實驗三人組成員。Zhang目前是電影配樂的作曲家，也是獨立電影的演員。
2018六月底在南非實驗電子廠牌NON worldwide發表了新作 Divine Weight，除了對個人意識之外，還包括了對家庭意識、文化歷史等等，提升到廣闊的宇宙意識或精神意識。用薩克斯風錄製作品和過去3年積累的錄音，以不斷實驗重置方式就像夢一樣，將某種現實投射到外部世界，Zhang在他的人生哲學中也有著更深層地探索。
Alex Zhang Hungtai is a Taiwanese-born Canadian musician and actor. In addition to his given name, he makes music under the names Last Lizard and Dirty Beaches.
After retiring his project Dirty Beaches, Zhang has been focusing on explorations of improvised music, Free Jazz, and his new role as a composer. His newer compositions predominantly works with saxophone, synthesizers, percussion and piano, furthering his research on ritualistic music of liminality. Besides his solo work, he is also a member of a Free Jazz/experimental trio with Portugese minimalist/architect David Maranha, and Free Jazz Drummer Gabriel Ferrandini in Lisbon. Zhang currently works as a composer for film soundtracks, along with acting in independent films.

Three months into MCO. And endless amount of crazy shit happening around the world. Taking them in, trying to hold on to a steady breathe and coping. Keep sane...ANYWAY, Miss Cakap Banyak Diary today at episode no. 36, remesnising happy memories of my dance classes from years ago. Here is a kaleidescope of some classes from a big pile of videos.
Found a huge library of videos in my archive of dance classes dated 10 years back. I started attending regular dance classes with the amazing Ann Tan since 2008 or 2009. I have videos from those classes from year 2010. I've had other dance teachers too but the weekly jazz, jazz-contemp (if there is a name to it) classes I took with Ann Tan Li Lian was the most regular and consistent, until she moved away from Malaysia. From 2015 onwards, my other most consistent weekly classes have been adult ballet with The Royal Durian Academy with cikgu Nell Ng.
Watching the dance class videos made me smile, and laugh. Laughing at my awkwardness, albeit some moments of them I thought I don't look half bad.
The one thing that nobody can take away from me (or from you) is the joy of moving and dancing. I will always love to move and dance.
